On November 28th, the National Medical Products Administration held an on-site exchange meeting on the construction of information officers for grassroots drug safety coordinators in Zhengding County, Hebei Province. Comrade Lei Ping, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
 
 
The meeting pointed out that strengthening the construction of the "two members" team for grassroots drug safety is a practical need to promote modernization of grassroots governance, a specific practice of implementing the concept of supervision for the people, and an important measure to ensure drug quality and safety. We must adhere to and develop the "Fengqiao Experience" of the new era, actively promote the extension of the drug regulatory network to townships and villages, vigorously develop the "two members" team of grassroots drug safety, and make every effort to create a new pattern of grassroots drug safety co governance and sharing. With greater efforts and solid measures, we will solidly and effectively carry out grassroots drug safety supervision work.
 
The meeting believes that in recent years, relevant provincial (district, city) drug regulatory bureaus have persisted in focusing on top-level design and high-level deployment promotion, strengthening work planning, clarifying construction requirements, establishing work mechanisms, motivating and taking on responsibilities, strengthening demonstration and guidance, and consolidating work responsibilities. The construction of the "two members" team for basic drug safety has achieved positive results. We should fully draw on relevant local practices and experiences, actively explore innovation, and tailor measures to local conditions to promote the construction of grassroots drug supervision networks.
 
The meeting emphasized that it is important to strengthen the construction of drug supervision capacity and improve the level of grassroots drug safety governance by establishing a sound grassroots drug safety "two member" team, carefully organizing and steadily advancing. We need to strengthen organizational leadership, adhere to a systematic concept, strengthen demonstration and guidance, enhance forward-looking thinking and overall planning, and timely solve key and difficult problems. We need to strengthen work coordination, actively promote the deep integration of information technology and grassroots drug safety governance, widely stimulate the enthusiasm and initiative of grassroots people to participate in drug safety supervision, extend regulatory tentacles, and weave a dense regulatory network. To establish a sound long-term mechanism, continuously summarize and improve, research and establish a training mechanism and incentive guarantee mechanism for the "two members" team, timely promote the effectiveness of work and typical examples, and create a good atmosphere for strengthening grassroots drug safety supervision.
 
At the meeting, attendees visited and learned about the construction of the "two members" team for grassroots drug safety in Hebei Province. Drug regulatory bureaus in Hebei, Anhui, Shandong, Ningxia and other provinces (regions) gave exchange speeches. Officials in charge of the drug supervision bureaus of various provinces (regions, cities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as officials from relevant departments and bureaus of the National Drug Administration, attended the meeting.
